The sawmill is a new item added into the 1.0.6.1 patch that is used to craft advanced wooden items.

To make the sawmill, you will need 10 wood, 2 iron bars and a iron chain. You must also be stood at a crafting table.

With the sawmill, you can make items such as the bed, keg, dresser, loom, barrel and bench.

I recommend getting this item as soon as possible, as items such as the bed is extremely useful.
